Commish's Corner: Volume I

Ok, little intro first. In my early 40's and have played them all - every system that has dropped from the late 70's - and yes my parents even had that almond-colored "pong" setup that also was hockey/soccer/handball/tennis/etc.

I have ran fantasy leagues since 1991 and been known as "The Commish" ever since.

I eagerly waited for the days when my buddies and I didn't have to sit next to each other when playing Techmo Bowl (mainly because one of them liked hitting the "reset" button when he was getting stomped), a way we could play on the Internet, in our own homes, in our own coach/recliner/chair.

We started playing ONLINE when the Dreamcast launched and had two full NFL2K leagues filled before that system even went online.

I will drop my thoughts here semi-regularly. i, like others here, have the tread worn from the tires from across all those systems and games that have allowed us to watch the evolution of the game platforms and games themselves over the years.
